What to expect

We understand it can be intimidating to come to worship for the first time at a church you've never been to before. We want to help make your first experience at St. John a great one!

Worship Times

Worship with us on Sunday Mornings @ 9:30AM.

Additional worship opportunities are available during Lent and Advent and can be found on our event page.

What are services like?

Our worship services run approximately one hour and follows a liturgical format that is consistent from week to week. You can expect biblical readings, music, a sermon, prayers, and Holy Communion. The service is printed in a worship bulletin you will receive upon arrival.

Our worship contains both traditional and contemporary elements. We utilize organ, guitar, piano, & occasionally drums. At St. John our worship goal is not to entertain or please people, it is to praise and glorify God. Psalm 150 reminds us that God should be praised with a variety of instruments.

"Lutheran" worship follows a pattern of Gathering, Word, Meal, & Sending. All are welcome at the sacrament of Holy Communion at St. John. The open invitation to the altar comes from our Lord who calls ALL people to himself.

What to wear?

Come as you are. You'll find people wearing everything from suits to jeans. In the summer, some people wear shorts. In the fall, you'll find more than a couple Bills shirts.

What about my kids?

Your children are welcome during our worship services. If they are making noise - it's ok! Children aren’t only invited... they are encouraged to be children!

A Nursery is available if you need to step out with your child. We offer live feed audio in our Nursery area.

An abbreviated Sunday School takes place during the worship service during the school year. Children come forward for a children's message and then leave with a teacher for a lesson. The kids rejoin their families and the worshipping community before communion.
